Hey there, Mr. Cool Kid!
Remember last month, when you were desperately in need of a “big boy” car seat? Well, you finally got one… it just took some getting used to.
You’ve had so many fun milestones this month!
You’re waving, and it is the sweetest little wave ever! You’ve spent this entire month at home with your daddy and his favorite thing is when he comes in to get you in the mornings, you’re standing in your crib waving at him.
You’ve also mastered the art of clapping! Yay! How fun! We had to keep it traditional and sing patty-cake at first, but now we’re just clapping for anything. Seeing you happily put those fat, little hands together warms my heart. Big smiles all around!
We took another four generation picture this month. You are surrounded by great men, Jaxx! You are blessed and highly favored!
I made a note early in the month about your first step, but after a whole month at home with daddy, you’ve decided walking is not all it’s made out to be and would much rather be held, thank you very much. Stage 5 clinger! Oh my goodness, you are serious about being held! If I try to put you down, the landing gear retracts and the tears start to fall. You’re quick to let us know that you’ll be having none of that.
Tooth number 7 has made its appearance! Four on top, and three on bottom. It’s still hard to see those top teeth when you smile, but they’re all starting to really pop out there and I’m sure we’ll be getting lots of gap-toothed, pearly white smile pictures in the coming months.
One of the more awesome moments of this month can really be told more clearly in photos.
You love to play in the tent your grandma Echo got for you… and so does Sadie.
Since it’s October, I thought it only appropriate to take your milestone picture at the pumpkin patch. We chose Carmichael’s in Bixby and you had such a great time!
It was so fun to watch you looking around at everything, taking in all of the sights and sounds of people and farm animals. You loved the animals! You even tried talking to a goat and a cow, and a little piece of my heart melted.
The highlight of the pumpkin patch trip was while I was taking your picture standing next to a pumpkin almost as big as you.
Hey… when you gotta go, you gotta go!
I know you will hate these pictures one day, but this moment will never be forgotten. I was laughing so hard that I could hardly focus the camera. Good times!
You are still the sweetest, happiest little guy. A perfect picture of a happy life.
